The families we help, in and around the Wigan area, are especially struggling during the recent pandemic. That is why we've decided to boost our fundraising through the Aviva Community Fund. Read below to find out more and get involved.

What has Covid-19 meant for us ...
The past few months have been a challenge for us all - no doubt about it!
Our team has needed to diversify our usual support dramatically to ensure that families facing terminal illness and grief are still able to access support when they need it.
Many of our families are continuing to shield, as they have the added worry of facing terminal illness and treatment, that can leave the immune system very weak.
We've adapted to find what protection we can through face masks and gloves so we can continue our support through shopping and washing & ironing, ensuring we deliver safely to our families doorsteps. And of course we are still a friend at the end of the phone, offering support during this difficult time. There are far too many people facing grief, not just through terminal illness but also through COVID-19, and our service is there to support them.
Funding has been paused impacting finances dramatically
However, all our normal avenues of self-help groups, fundraising and income have been paused, so it's had a massive impact on our finances.
Our staff have been going above and beyond, often offering further support voluntarily and we also have a great team of volunteers who've helped as well. But the reality is we need funds to continue to provide every family and those who are reaching out to us daily, especially with so many people loosing loved ones to COVID-19, with the direct support they need.
Can you help support over 30 families during this heart-breaking time?
Living With Life currently works with 30+ families, which is around 450 people across the Borough - as well as 40+ other families who are involved in our self help and community groups. The finance generated, will empower us to be able to continue to provide the vital support and companionship to families, that will take the pressure off and empower them to live well during this difficult time.

The Aviva Community Fund is not just a fundraising page. They have teamed up with Crowdfunder. If our application gets through to the next round, Aviva employees then decide how the Aviva Community Fund money is distributed. Between them, they’ll have £250,000 of fund money to donate to the projects that matter to them most.
